On the eleventh & twelfth days of Christmas my favorite local pizzeria gave to me…

Chimay Blue- Chimay is one of the oldest breweries in the world, and carries on the tradition of Belgium Trappist beer. This beer carries a fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch that is especially pleasant. Its flavor reveals a light but pleasant touch of roasted malt. This top fermented Trappist beer, is refermented in the bottle, and is not pasteurized.

ABV: 9.0%

Full Sail Wreck The Halls- This annual favorite is a sublime hybrid of an American style IPA and a winter warmer. The result is a bold brew that celebrates the holidays with an intriguing blend of Centennial hops providing elegant citrus notes balanced by a backdrop of a rich caramel malt body. Dry hopped to amplify the aromas and flavor. Gold medal winner at the 2010 World Beer Championships.

ABV: 6.5%

IBU: 68

On the tenth day of Christmas my favorite local pizzeria gave to me…

Dogfish 90 Minute IPA- 90 Minute IPA was one of the first beerS that was continuously hopped, allowing for a pungent, but not crushing hop flavor. 90 Minute has a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. Tasting notes of moderate hops with semi-sweet malts give this beer a superb balance. This beer is considered by many beer authorities as the best IPA in America.

On the ninth day of Christmas my favorite local pizzeria gave to me…

Left Hand Milk Stout- This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories (no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

ABV: 5.3%

IBU: 25
